| Separate state Jammu’s only way out: JSM | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec14: Decrying successive governments at both central and state levels for ignoring Jammuties in every respect, Jammu State Morcha leader and its contesting candidate from Jammu East, Swarn Sharma has said that the separate statehood for Jammu province was the only way out to end miseries of its people.
Addressing series of election rallies across her constituency, Swran Sharma said that successive state and central governments did nothing for the benefit of the Jammu people as a result of which they were always exposed to all sorts of sufferings.
She said that no political force has ever shown the commitment to address the problems of Jammu people adding that "The Kashmir centric politicians have always overlooked the interests of Jammu province which can well be assessed by differentiating the amount of development that has taken place in both the provinces of the state," she said and added that Congress and BJP were helping PDP and NC to commit excesses with Jammu people.
She further said that the youth of the province were discriminated in government jobs and were provided lesser opportunities in professional trainings. The inequitable share in the State Legislative Assembly proves that the Jammu people are deprived of their democratic right in a big way.
"The separate statehood can alone end the miseries of the people," she said and added that it was an opportune time for the people of Jammu to support the cause of the separate statehood for province. |
