SP Smart School follows J&K state board education policy and does not advocate CBSE education policies. Educationist and CEO of SP Smart School, Shivang Satya Gupta contends that a minimal difference exists between the examination patterns of CBSE & State Board. Shivang Satya Gupta humorously quotes in Hindi, “English main hota hai snob nature ki main paise wala hu, well off hu toh main shayad kuch cheez different karu”.
As a matter of fact, he states saying that all curriculums are the same under MHRD policies. Correspondingly, the J&K state board has a prestige status because it stays ahead in following the NCERT education system. When CCES (Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation System) was implemented in 1991, it was the J&K state board that adopted this scheme before CBSE, yet many people are oblivious of this fact.
Moreover, when NSF came into existence, CBSE structured its foundation, as well as the state board, on the basis that fancying something showcasing its upper level automatically inspires a sense of difference, but that is not the case. There is no distinction between state boards and CBSE. A minuscule difference used to exist in the examination pattern prior to 10-15 years ago, but this has now been eliminated as well. As state boards moved toward a single-paper system, CBSE also adopted this practice.
Shivang Satya Gupta asserts stating that there is truly no difference between a state board and CBSE; however, the catch lies in their learning process and system that differs a child’s demeanor. Upon being asked what message he would like to convey to others who still pay for coaching classes and tuition and those who can’t afford to spend 2 or 3 lakhs on coaching classes? Are coaching classes or tuition liable to ask for such a huge sum of money?
He sternly responds saying “ if we are determined to change our society from the dependency on tuition trap then we have to rebel against the system and put a period on it or else it would deteriorate the whole education ecosystem and it is already stagnating our society.” He further states, “ I don’t blame parents in this because they would do anything in their power to give best to their children and would go any level of corruption. I blame the policy and decision-makers who are involved in this.” He appeals to shut down tuition or coaching center without any second thought.
He further narrates, “we see nowadays students are happy with their results; however, what about the results of the school he has passed from? Why the school didn’t demonstrate the results? The answer is simple: School lacks the learning process and it highly needs a structured foundation”.
He further cites, “ if we wish our students to get a quality education then we need to fill the gap in between. We need to fortify the institution by incorporating system-based and process-driven solution that includes academics as well as entrance preparation which is what we follow at SP Smart School”.
SP Smart School is known to keep the education quotient a notch higher and its students result in an attempt to appeal to the impulsive, fun sensibilities of today’s youth.
