Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 16: AJBRCEAK welcome the decision taken by LG Administration regarding the declaration of Holiday on the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh and all the employees are very hopeful that their genuine demand for transfer policy will be fulfilled very soon. The employees have full faith on LG administration as LG Saab fulfilled the long pending demand of Dogras for holiday on account of the birth anniversary of Maharaja Hari Singh.
Huge participation of employees along with their siblings bearing white dresses and placard in their hands was seen with zeal and zest, raising slogans and demanding framing of suitable comprehensive transfer policy, not to pressurize Jammu based employees to resume their duties and utilization of services of employees to their respective home districts, till the situation normalizes in Kashmir.
While briefing to the media, protesters expressed their distress and said that Government is not showing seriousness except mere verbal assurance and also not to pay heed towards the genuine demands of the employees for which they are protesting for the last three and half months.
They further said that even though a committee has been constituted to examine the issues of employees and to submit report to Govt in a time bound manner but no recommendations have been submitted by the committee so far. The protesters appealed the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha Ji to personally intervene in the matter and direct the concerned authorities / committee so formed for early redressal of issues of employees.
Besides this, they urged the administration to release the salary of employees whose salary has been withheld by some DDOs, as the situation in Kashmir is not conducive to resume duties due to security concerns and no any authorities / departments are willing to ensure the safety and security of Jammu based employees.
It is pertinent to mention that Jammu Based Employees serving in Kashmir left the Kashmir Division for the sake of safety and security after their colleagues and non- local minorities were shot dead by the militants.
The employees protesting for a long time in sweltring weather in order to save their life. On the other hand some DDO'S of Kashmir have stopped the salary of many employees and pressurizing them to resume their duties and threatening them for strict action if duties were not resumed.
All the Jammu Based employees working in Kashmir appeal LG Administration to intervene into the matter and instruct such DDO'S not to harass these employees, release their salaries and revoke such orders for duty resumption. The employees thanked LG Administration for constituting a six member committee under the Chairmanship of Principal Secretary GAD for transfer policy. On the other hand the employees are very disappointed that the committee has not submitted its recommendations even after 50 days since the committee was framed. Moreover, AJBRCEAK would continue its agitation till the committee so constituted by the Lt. Governor submits its report regarding the framing of a comprehensive transfer policy and implementation of the same.
These employees again appeal the LG Administration to press upon the committee members to submit their report regarding transfer policy in post haste manner.
