Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 17: Kashmiri Migrant Relief holders are on the severe starvation and Urged upon the Union Govt and J&K UT LG administration for release of pending three months Ration along with enhancement of cash assistance to suffering Relief Holders
A emergency meeting was held under the leadership of Er Ramesh Chander Mahajan a Kashmiri Migrant leader & Chairman its President of Kashmiri Khatri Hindu Maha Sabha with large numbers of Relief holders in Jammu and other place today, has expressed lot of resentment and serious concern over the deliberately suspension of monthly free Ration to Relief holders for the last three months in migrant camps and non migrant camps . As the relief holders are already in utter difficulty, facing a lot of financial crunch due to small meagre amount provided by relief organisation to relief holders while as the present cash assistance / relief of the migrants is not sufficient to meet up the day to day expenses in view of heavy price hike on daily basis commodities and other basic necessities like costly medicine, doctors consultation fees, tests and treatment and school fees etc, widows having no source of income are also in desperation, some of families cannot fulfil their social liability problems.
Further with the result of ration with held by concerned director food & civil supplies of relief department is difficult to purchase ration in the heavy increase in market price and suspension of ration is causing severe starvation among relief holders. Keeping away internally relief department issues so that relief holders might not suffer in future to avoid any inconvenience in the rights of release of monthly ration assistance.
Kashmiri Migrants urged upon Union Govt and J&K UT LG administration to immediately release the pending three months ration without any delay on priority along with enhancement of monthly cash relief / assistance per soul with free medical aid / medi-claim to provide relief from starvation to suffering relief holders.
