9/18/2022 10:40:37 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Sept 18: An all round performance by Sunil Thappa, equally supported by Faheem Tak and Sachin helped Media XI Cricket Club to register convincing win over Jain Bazaar Cricket Club.
Winning the toss, Media XI CC led by captain Yash Khajuria decided to bat first. Pacers of Jain Bazaar CC made it quite difficult for top order of the Media XI CC to stand on the pitch, resulting in loss of three wickets during Powerplay.
However, Sunil Thappa (25) and Faheem Tak (40) held the nerves and took score to the total of 133 runs, with the prime contribution of Sachin (42). From Jain Bazaar CC, Ubaid and Pulk clinched 3 and 2wickets each, respectively.
While chasing the target, Jain Bazaar CC had a modest beginning with meagre 17 runs on board at the loss of 5 wickets. Arun and Yash Khajuria claimed 3 wickets each, whereas rest of the damage was done by Sunil Thappa and Dev Thakur to contain Jain Bazaar CC at 122 runs on the board.
Sunil Thappa for his overall performance was adjudged as man of the match.
The match was played under ‘War Against Drugs Campaign’ by Media XI Cricket Club Jammu to keep youth engaged in sports and say no to drugs.
