| Chib: Cong Govt means fast development | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Dec 14: Addressing a series of election rallies in the Bhaderwah assembly constituency, including at Kahlani, Malcti and Dugga, former cabinet minister B.R Kundal said the congress is the only party in the state which can form a stable government and mitigate the hardships of the people of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban districts, which were deliberately neglected by earlier dispensations. He urged the people to look all the facts in the face and reject those candidates who, instead of ranking up economic, development and democratic issues are vitiating the atmosphere of the area by taking resource to emotive issues.
He urged the electorate of the area to compare the achievement of Ghulam Nabi Azad-led short regime with the earlier government before exercising their franchise, He said the vote for congress would be a vote for peace, prosperity, political stability and unity and integrity of the state, as also for the promotion of secular ethos. He said all other parties are including in the politics of rabbie-rousing and this is neither good for the national health nor for the well-being of the people of J&K, he said and added that the Azad-led govt has converted chota Kashmir in to real Kashmir.
MLC, R.S Chib, while addressing the rallies, highlighted the history of the Congress and its splendid contribution to the Indian freedom struggle. He said the other name of the congress is development, communal amity and defeat of elements, who have been seeking votes in the name of region, caste and religion. He said that the Indian nation is a congregation of several caste and religious groups and that only the congress party can led the nation aright. Strongly urging the electorate of the area to stand solidly behind the congress.
Prof. Hari Om who also addressed these election rallies reflecting on the reasons behind the resignation, said that he took this decision taking into accounts the larger national interest. He accused the BJP of adopting negative means to achieve political power and asserted that the BJP would never come to power in the state as it has been advocating policies and said the BJP stands thoroughly exposed before the people as they know that the stands of the BJP on J&K as well as Jammu’s political empowerment is vague.
He said the congress rule alone can protect and promote the national interests as well as the interest of the people of Jammu province. |
