Udhampur Police solves Blind murder case

Udhampur, Sept 19: An information received through one Hem Raj S/O Mani Ram R/o Satyalta that his son Shankar Singh S/o Hem Raj R/o Satyalta, Ramnagar was missing at Police Post Ghordi that his son who was last seen on 20-08-2022 is missing since then.
On 23-08-2022, information was received at PP Ghordi that a dead body of person was lying in the Satyalta area of Ramnagar. The body was identified by deceased father as that of Shankar Singh. On this inquest proceeding U/S 174 CrPC was initiated Vide DDR.No. 18 dated 23-08-2022 was initiated in PP Ghordi.
During the course of enquiry, police team of PP Ghordi headed by PSI Rhythm Sharma and assisted by Insp. Pushpinder Singh SHO PS Ramnagar under the supervision of Addl. SP Udhampur Sh. Anwaar Ul Haq and SDPO Ramnagar Dr. Bhishm Dubey detained some suspected persons of the area. During sustained interrogation, one of them namely Som Raj S/O Shankar Dass R/O Bari, Ramnagar confessed that he alongwith his associate namely Mulkh Raj had mudered the deceased, and further wife of the deceased namely Shallu Devi was put to sustained questioning and during her professional interrogation, it came out that Som Raj and Shallu Devi (wife of deceased) had develop illicit relationship with each other for the last 2/3 years.
It is pertinent to mention that with sternous efforts two accused namely Som Raj and Shallu Devi have been arrested while third accused person namely Mulkh raj is absconding. While police party is on the job to trace him out.
The inquest proceeding was converted into criminal case and further investigation of the case is underway.
