| Zargar inspects state agro industries unit at Delhi | | |
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 16 - Minister for Agriculture Mr Abdul Aziz Zargar today inspected cold storage building and office complex of State Agro Industries Development Corporation Limited a state government property at Lawrance road, New Delhi.
Spread over 15 kanals of land, the cold storage is run by 22 employees. The Minister took a review of its income and expenditure for the last three years. During the inspection, the Minister ordered the constitution of a three-member committee and consultant to formulate a plan for renovation of cold storage building, which is in dilapidated condition presently. The members of the committee are Agriculture Production Commissioner, Managing Director Agro Industries and General Manager of Delhi unit and consultant to be nominated by the committee members.
The Delhi unit was also asked to visualize the essential requirements for proper utilization of other vacant portion of land in setting up of some agro based industrial units. The Minister asked the concerned to come up with a comprehensive proposal in this regard within two months with endorsement of Board of Directors so that it can be submitted for cabinet approval. |
