Jammu Dec16- Congress candidate from Jammu East constituency, Nariender Singh (Raju) has assured the Evacuee Property tenants in Jammu city that he will fight for their just cause and demand for winding up of the Evacuee Property Department and granting of ownership rights to the occupants of EP property, for a long time, by transferring the same in their favour on hire purchase bases.
Raju who was addressing his electorates in ward No.2 of Jammu city, in Mohalla below Tawi, ward No.4 Kali Jani and some other places assured that he will fight within the party for safeguarding the interests of Evacuee Property tenants, allottees of Nazool and other government lands for last 40 to 50 years, for granting of ownership rights on them, under the Roshni Act, after charging only the development cost from them, as has been done in the case of unauthorized occupants of government lands in some colonies in city, where the ownership rights have been granted to the occupants by charging nominal cost, as development charges. He said that if elected as MLA he will fight for the genuine causes of the inhabitants of Jammu city and also fight to safeguard the interest of allottees of Aquaf lands.
Raju said that serving as a corporator in Jammu Municipal Corporation for four years and for one term as Mayor Jammu, he has got insight into the problems being faced by the people of the city. His stress will be on providing all the basic civic amenities to the people of Jammu city, besides tackling the problem of traffic blockades by ensuring setting up of adequate parking lots in the city. He will also fight for uninterrupted power supply to the people both for domestic and commercial purposes as well as for adequate drinking water supply to the households.
In his visit to these places he was accompanied by Krishan Lal Gupta Secretary J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, Vaishno Dogra President Backward Classes Cell of the Congress party in J&K, Nazeer Khan Gen Secretary OBC Cell of the party, Ashwani Puri, Vijender K Sharma, Rahul Gupta, Mahinder Kumar Panotra District Jammu Congress Gen Secretary and Prithvi Kohli.
