Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 28: To broaden the party activities in the Jammu district meeting was chaired under the leadership of BJP Jammu District President Vinay Gupta in alliance with upcoming programs on all organizational mandals and constituencies falling under Jammu district.
Bharatiya Janata Party district Jammu held a meeting today considering forthcoming programmes to be carried out by Jammu district in office Kachi Chawni. Wherein Senior leaders reviewed the functioning of the Jammu district and also sought the details concerning the facilities available at the district level.
The meeting was chaired by Vinay Gupta in the esteemed presence of BJP Senior leader & former Dy CM Kavinder Gupta, BJP Vice President J&K Yudhvir Sethi, former Minister Priya Sethi, Ex District President Baldev Singh Billawaria and Councillor attended the meeting.
Kavinder Gupta explained that BJP is the only party with an active cadre base at every polling station. We recently identified booths within every Assembly constituency and deployed a team of workers in each such booth to reinvigorate the party's connection with the electorate. We have demographic data from every pocket of the J&K, and our contact programmes are designed in keeping with local expectations. He urged the party cadres to stay in the midst of the public and live up to their expectations.
Vinay said in his address to BJP workers to make aware those who are new voters, especially the youth so that no voters are hindered in making new votes. Gupta said he is confident that the BJP's welfare schemes and outreach to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will ensure its victory in the next assembly election in J&K.
Moreover, Vinay added that the delimitation of Assembly constituencies is now complete and the Election Commission is currently working on the new voter lists. It is a comprehensive process that will include new constituencies of voters such as the West Pakistan Refugees, the Valmikis and the Gorkhas, who hitherto did not have franchise in Assembly elections. Hence there is a natural increase in the number of voters, with lakhs of under-18 children attaining adulthood. There are potential new voters from among the West Pakistani refugees and members of the Valmiki and Gorkha communities who have been extended the right to vote he added.
Priya Sethi stated that BJP is ready for elections in Jammu and Kashmir, we want assembly elections to be held as soon as possible so that an elected government comes to power. She said we will win more than fifty seats in J&K, which is the mission of the BJP, and by the will of the lord, we will make the government and the next CM will be from the BJP party."
The meeting was also attended by Ashok Kumar Vistark, District General Secretaries Ankush Gupta, Kuldeep Kandhari and Naresh Sharma, District office bearers, Mandal Presidents, General Secretaries and all Morcha Presidents, General Secretaries within the Jammu district.
