9/30/2022 10:00:21 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 30: The indefinite protest of the PM package employees enters 141th day today as they raised their voice in favour of their legitimate demand of relocation outside the Kashmir valley. The irate Package employees have continued their protest under the banner of All Migrant (Displaced) Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) for their relocation/shifting/attachment to Jammu province. Hundreds of agitating Package employees have assembled in the premises of Relief Commissioner's Migrant Office Jammu and continued their peaceful protest. The protesting PM package employee leaders said that the ground situation for the living and working of Package employees is neither feasible nor conducive in Kashmir as they have become soft targets for the gun wielding terrorists. The agitating employees were demanding the "Right to Life" as guaranteed by article-21 of the constitution and thus were demanding their survival and safety. Meanwhile, protesting package employees have also requested the DDO's concerned not to stop the salaries of the package employees. However, members of the core committee have further emphasized that the LG administration should utilize the services of the package employees in the RC office Jammu and its relief counters. The agitating employees stated that they will continue their indefinite strike till the fulfillment of their only and genuine demand of deployment/shifting to Jammu division.
