| Excise Department organises awareness programme | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Sept 30: Excise department in a drive under Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan and On the directions of Worthy Excise Commissioner Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma JKAS and the guidelines of Dy. Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Smt. Kusum Sharma JKAS, the teams of Udhampur-Reasi Excise Range organized an awareness programme on Drug Abuse today on 30-09-2022 at Matador Stand, Taxi Stand, District Udhampur and Taxi Stand, District Reasi under the direct supervision of Excise & Taxation Officer, Sh. Virender Kumar JKAS in collaboration with MVD Department of District Udhampur and District Reasi. The ARTO, Udhampur Sh. Jugal Sharma and ARTO Reasi Sh. Rajesh Gupta along with their staff were present in the programme. About 100 Drivers/conductors and other people were present in the awareness programme. Pamphlets on the same subject were also distributed among all the people.
At last, the Drivers/conductors and other people were briefed with the ill effects of drugs. The use of drugs is making their lives vulnerable and prone to destruction. Therefore, it is very important to raise awareness about it among our youth and prevent them from succumbing to it. |
