Cluster university signed MoU with IIT

Jammu, Sept 30: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Dr. Manoj Singh Gaur, Director, IIT Jammu and Prof. Bechan Lal, Vice Chancellor, Cluster University of Jammu in the presence of Sh. Raj Kumar Manjhiwal (Registrar) IIT Jammu, Dr. Jatinder Khajuria (Registrar), Cluster University of Jammu, Dr. Naveen Anand, Dean Academic Affairs, CLUJ and Dr. Sanjay Verma, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, CLUJ and Dr. Pratik Kumar, Asstt. Professor, Deptt. of Civil Engineering, IIT Jammu.
The objectives of the MoU are to strengthen collaboration between IIT Jammu and the Cluster University of Jammu by exploring opportunities by visits of academic or other staff, students and participation in events and activities. The institutions commit to exchange of academic materials and other information, training and competency building programmes, sharing of best practices and special short term academic projects. Students will be benefited by availing research facilities uses labs and academic expertise of the faculties of IIT Jammu.
Further, the agreement aims to help in development, start-up, innovation & research activities carried out by the students and faculty of the Cluster University of Jammu.
Both the institutions commit themselves to identify the concrete areas of academic collaboration and to explore the means to achieve a successful collaboration.
