| Bhandari convenes Presiding Officers’ meeting | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, DECEMBER 16 – To ensure free, fair and transparent elections in Jammu district, the District Election Officer (DEO), Jammu, Dr. Mandeep K. Bhandari convened a meeting of the Presiding Officers here today.
As many as 680 Presiding Officers participated in the meeting, held at Zorawar Singh Auditorium at Jammu University, who were also imparted training in the handling of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
The Election Observers for various Assembly constituencies of the district were also present on the occasion.
The DEO shall hold another such meeting on December 17 in which 600 more Presiding Officers would be imparted EVM training at the same venue.
