NC won’t allow divisive forces to vitiate peace, brotherhood in J&K: Rattan Lal Gupta
10/3/2022 9:38:12 PM

EARly Times Report

JAMMU, Oct 3: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President National Conference Jammu has asserted that National Conference is fully committed to fight the divisive forces and to promote secularism, communal harmony and brotherhood across Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued to media here today, the senior National Conference leader said that it is quite unfortunate that some political parties are working to create a narrative that will only divide the people. Without directly naming the party, he said that a political party on the forefront in this regard is leaving no stone unturned in dividing the people in J&K to fulfill its political agenda of establishing its Govt in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He added that every attempt is being made to divide the communities who are living together for the last so many decades but the National Conference cadre right from the grass roots level to the top will not allow such elements to succeed in their divisive endeavours.
Rattan Lal Gupta while castigating the Govt at the Centre as well as the Union Territory Administration for bringing only miseries for the common people said that the economy of Jammu and Kashmir has made a nose dive and is continuously going down due to the hollow policies of BJP Govt and its proxy rule in this Union Territory. Not only this, the unemployment rate has gone rocketing high during the BJP regime. He said that as per the data reported in leading local newspapers of Jammu, the unemployment rate in 2013-14 was 4.1 in men and 7.7 in women but today the unemployment rate has reached 25.75 in men in the state which seems to be a cause of serious concern that craves for immediate solution, he said.
The senior NC leader said that even the per capita income has fallen considerably in Jammu and Kashmir. Asserting that hollow slogans and anti people policies of the Govt will not correct the unemployment rate in J&K, he said that youth can easily see that they have only a bleak future in front of them. He said that the Govt has proved to be an utter failure in smooth lining the employment process which is evident from the fact that many lists including that of scrapping the SI, FAA, recruitment of police border battalion etc have been cancelled as a result of which the genuine and intelligent aspirants have been made to suffer for none of their fault.
Rattan Lal Gupta appealed to the people to support National Conference and strengthen the hands its leadership Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah in the impending Assembly elections in J&K to get rid of all the miseries thrust upon them by the BJP Govt.
