7 participants get entry into semi final at devotional song competition

JAMMU, Oct 3: While addressing the media Chairman All India Devotional Song Committee Rakesh Wazir said that Navratra Festival's All India Devotional Song Competition being organized by SMVD Shrine Board,Deptt. of J&K Tourism,PTC Punjabi Gold in association with Patanjali Dantkanti and co sponsored by Monalisa Fashion and Wedding Stores, Lia Agarbatti ,J&K Bank, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Super Specialist Hospital, Nideesh Builders Pvt.Ltd. Jammu,Yog Ashram Trust with active support of District Administration and the local host Community with 92.7 Big FM as its Radio Partner was started 24 years back with the main aim to promote and provide platform to the singers from all over the India in the holy township of Katra/besides promotion of the tourism in J&K.
The Press interaction was attended by panel of judges for the Final which is going to held on 4th Oct. including Ganesh Jain,Chairman cum Managing Director Venus Records & Tapes Ltd. besides maker of more than 50 movies like Khiladi, Baazigar, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Yes Boss, Badshah, Dhadkan, Hamraaz, Hungama, Hulchul, Garam Masala, Aap Ki Khatir,De Dana Dhan etc. and the introducer of many faces in the film industry like Shilpa Shetty, Akshay Kumar etc.,Gordhan Tanwani maker of famous movies like Ishq,Pyar to Hona Hi Tha,Dulhan Hum Le Jayegay etc. Rishi Raj maker of films including Hatya, Pehla Pyar, Mahir, Savera Hua, Anokhee Tasveer, Darkness and the owner of the music company which has has given thousands of devotional songs and is Chairman of Film Producers Association, Kumar Mohan Film Trade Analyst and maker of many movies and Shanker Sawhney the leading film Industry singer and who has sung many film songs and has got to its credit the Maha Mrityunjay Mantra which has 35 crore views which is record in itself.
Wazir said that live telecast of the event will be available on PTC Punjabi Gold from 9 PM onwards and the entry for this event will be free to all and besides the live performances of the singers who have reached the finals,the people will see the live performances of renowned singers of the Film Industry vis-à-vis Former winners of Mega Finals including Shanker Sawhney, Amrinder Bobby, Naveen Punjabi etc.
Ganesh Jain said that All India Devotional Song Competition have contributed a lot to the state in promotion of Tourism and in addition to that have given platform to many Singers in the film industry including Himani Kapoor, Mool Raj, Paramjit Singh Pamma, Naveen Punjabi, Rajan Gill, Sonali Dogra,Ravi Kumar, Sanjeet Kumar, Anjusha,Sonali Dogra, Vanshkia Jaral, Ananya etc. Himani Kapoor sung in the films like Dil Diya Hai, Chingari, Oye Lucky Oye, Fool & Final, Bachna Ae Hasino etc. like wise others winners are also doing well in the film Industry and most of them won many reality shows like Zee TV Sa Re Ga Ma Pa,Voice of Punjab,Awaz Punjab di and are doings wonders in their field and doors are always open for the film Industry people for the AIDSC participants.
Wazir further said that these film industry people have contributed a lot to this All India Devotional Song Competition and elaborated that 1st Prize of this competition is Gold worth Rs 3 Lakh besides recording contract to the winner of this competition with Venus Records & Tapes Ltd. and likewise the 2nd prize is 1 lac and the third prize is 50,000/- to be awarded on the day of finals.
Whereas in quarter Final 16 participants competed among each other for their entry into Mega Final and out of which Meenu Atwal, Rahul laknotra,Aditya Kumar, Shubham Banerjee, Vivek Mohan, Sunil Atwal, Ritika Kakkar, got their entry into the Semi Final whereas Mohinder Soni & Reena Devi were their in the waitlist. In this quarter final DFO Reasi Jyotsna Sarkar was chief guest, whereas famous singer Balraj, former winners of Competition Anjusha & Kiran Bawa were special invitees who also sung on the occassion and mesmerised the audience with their melodious voice.
Wazir thanked the people and organizations associated with the event.
