Jammu, Dec 17- With a view to give greater exposure to the children of the far flung and border areas of the state, Mendhar Battalion under the aegis of Bhimber Gali Brigade organized a 9- day long educational-cum- motivational tour of the students to Pune and Mumbai. The team was flagged off by Commander Bhimber Gali Brigade today.
During the tour, the children will be visiting National Defence Academy, MG Road and Shani Wada in Pune. They will also be visiting to Mumbai, where they will interact with a number of prominent civil dignitaries of Maharashtra Government and also visit Gateway of India, Elephanta Caves, Chowpatty, Marine drive and other parts of the city.
Before flagging off the team, the Commander asked the children to spread the message of peace to the places they visit and also see how our country is developing. The locals and the parents of these children expressed their gratitude to the Army for giving an opportunity to their children to see other parts of the country.
