RAMBAN, Oct 8: Rashtriya Rifles, Indian Army, in collaboration with J & K Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) flagged off a six-day trekking expedition from Batu in Ramban district in presence of civic dignitaries and media personnel.
As many as Seventeen avid trekkers from various walks of life including sportspersons, bloggers, photographers, and local celebrities have congregated for the event. These include nine females and eight participants, with a healthy mix of local and outstation trekkers.
The trek commenced from the picturesque Neel Valley and will traverse unexplored meadows, lakes, waterfalls, and jagged peaks in the majestic Pir Panjal Ranges, ultimately culminating at the Banihal Youth Festival on October 13 at the Lambar Ground in Banihal. The participants will also interact with the local youth to showcase patriotism, women's empowerment, and self-employment.
