| Mir launches scathing attack on divisive forces | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec17: Launching a scathing attack on divisive forces, President Democratic Party Nationalist, Ghulam Hussan Mir has said that such political forces were a big hurdle for the politicians with capacity, capability and ideas. Campaigning for K.K.Khosa, a contesting candidate of his party from Jammu West, he said, while addressing series of public meetings across the constituency, that the myopic ideals of the major political parties of state force them to indulge in dividing the society to cover their incapability and non serious attitude. Without naming any political party, he said that major political forces of state were putting hurdles in the way of talented politicians with a view to discourage them from serving the masses. He said that the leaders of these political forces feared the end of the family rule forcing them to create all sorts of trouble for a politician with wider outlook. Had there been the politicians with innovative ideas, the enormous resources of state wouldn’t have remained still untapped, he said. “It is only the scare of losing the dynasty rule that has compelled the major political parties of state to harass the ones with capability and new ideas,” he said and added that his party would give top priority to exploit the huge resources of state for the betterment of the people. He said that the inefficient successive governments could not give sufficient electricity to the people of the state even after having the huge potential for producing electricity. He said his party was committed to dignified return of Kashmiri Pandits back to their homes and hearths. “They are the important part of the composite culture of Kashmir which without them is incomplete,” he added. He said that his party was in favor of unity and integrity of state and opposed the division of state on basis of region and religion. While speaking on the occasion, K.K.Khosa said that congress failed to develop the Jammu west constituency in every respect and it was an opportune time for them to vote for a change for the prosperity of entire area.
