Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu outshines in interschool dance competition

Jammu, Oct 10: Dance is the conversation of the body with the soul. As an art form, it is the integral part of Indian Culture and Heritage . In its true sense, dance is not just a good form of exercise, but is also a great source for boosting creativity, imagination, confidence and focus of young hearts.
Honey Goswamia well acclaimed personality in the field of dance, organised Inter School Dance Competition “Feel the beat” Dance and Aerobics at Polytechnic College. In this event 5 schools and different dance institutes participated from different regions. Sanskritians from JAMMU SANSKRITI SCHOOL, JAMMU brought laurels to the school by bagging positions in different forms of dance. Our Sanskritians bagged 1st prize in FOLK DANCE, 2nd prize in CLASSICAL DANCE and 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize in SOLO DANCE in different categories. In SOLO DANCE, there were 45 students and Sanskritians namely Sannidhi from 4th got 1st Prize in sub junior category, Samrat from 2nd claimed second prize in junior category and Sargam from 4th clinched third prize in sub junior category.
The competition was adjudicated by renowned choreographers namely Manik , Isha Jain and Mr. Sukhvinder Singh. Mr. Kavinder Gupta ( Former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu And Kashmir) and Priya Sethi ( Former Minister of State For Education Of Jammu And Kashmir) were the chief guests of the event. Folk dance was mentored by Monika and Classical Dance was synchronized by Sabha.
Owing to the sheer number of splendid performances, Rohini Aima( Principal cum Vice Chairperson JSS) congratulated the students and their mentors.
She asserted that dance serves as a vent for expression of thoughts and feelings.
She conveyed her gratitude to the organizers for organizing these events in which children can showcase their talents in a healthy spirit. The students left the audience spellbound with the scintillating performance.
