Jammu Club hosts 'Karva Chauth' exhibition

JAMMU, Oct 12: Jammu Club has organised 'Karva Chauth' special exhibition in the Club Lawns. This exhibition was organized under the supervision of Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar, IAS, who is also the Vice President of the Club. Speaking on the occasion, Gaurav Gupta, Hony. Secretary Jammu Club said that holding of such events from time to time by the Club is not only a matter of entertainment but such events go a long way in preserving and promoting the traditions being carried on since long. He said that such valuable traditions reflect the richness of the cultural heritage of the region.
It is pertinent to mention here that the exhibition is witnessing heavy footfall of members along with their families and guests. The stalls comprised of Mehandi, nail art, bangles, Traditional Suits, Khadi Suits, Kashmiri and Rajasthani items, live snacks and music at the exhibition have been specially curated to showcase everything that might be needed by women to wear, deck up their homes and help them prepare for not only for the festival of 'Karva Chauth' but also for Diwali thus making these festivals memorable. Gaurav Gupta expressed gratitude to the members of the Managing Committee, Entertainment Sub Committee members and staff members for their wholehearted support to make this exhibition successful.
