| United nationalist Jammu a necessity: Chaman | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 17- Addressing election meetings at Shaktinagar, Talab Tillo and other localities of the city, Prof. Gupta alleged that the problems facing the people of the country, more so, those of Jammu and Kashmir were the result of follies and bungling of the Congress leaders and their allies. Granting of separate status to Jammu and Kashmir was one of the big follies committed by these leaders as it has given birth to secessionism and terrorism coupled with the discrimination against Jammu, he pointed out. Accusing the Congressmen of Jammu as also those of National Conference and PDP of being facilitators of injustice and political slavery of this region, Prof. Gupta said that it was not only in the interest of the people of Jammu to have justice but this would also help in fighting the evil of secessionism and other such like problems facing the country in State. He said the united nationalist Jammu can help in having closer ties between the State and the rest of the country. The BJP leader quoting facts and figures disputed the Congress claims of progress and prosperity during the Gulam Nabi Azad led coalition of the State. He maintained that this Government was the worst ever dispensation this State ever had for the past over 60 years. There were record number of agitations, demonstrations and hartals but this Government was most irresponsible and did not bother to sort out the problems facing the people. At these meetings the local activists complained that the Congress leaders during last elections obtained their votes with so many promises but never showed their faces later on. Those who also addressed these meetings included Rakesh Verma, Sudesh Magotra, Rakesh Kumar, Baba Sharma, Surinder Singh Choudhary, Pawan, Rakesh Mishra and Ajay Gupta.
