| No justification in delaying the benefit of pay commission recommendation; says Ashok Kumar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 17: The MLC and Independent candidate from Jammu West Assembly Constituency Ashok Sharam has demanded immediate implementation of 6th pay commission report in favour of state govt employees and pensioners as election commission of India has already allowed the J&K Govt to implement the pay panel report. Addressing election meetings at Gurah Bakshi Nagar, Talab Tillo, Ustad Mohalla, Rehari, Janipur, Sarwal Ambphalla and Vikas Nagar Sharma said that when the centre govt as well as most of the state have already extended benefits to their employees, there is no justification, whatsoever, in delaying or denying this benefit to the employees and pensioners of the state, as they are facing lot of economic hardships due to steep price hike of all essential commodities besides recession the world over. Sharma also called for launching special recruitment drive to fill up all the available vacancies as well as creation of posts in the newly created districts and other administrative units to generate more and more employment opportunities for the un-employment youth of the state. He said that all the un-employed youth be provided un-employment allowances ranging from Rs. 2000/- to 5000/- per month according to their qualification. He also pleaded for redressal of demands of the trained unemployed professionals like Engineers, ITI, Agricultures, Forest, Horticulture, DDRs, PETs, Para medical etc agitating their cause for long time. He said if elected he would ensure that all the daily wager, adhoc and other such categories employees engaged under various scheme should be got regularized before the end of current financial year.
