| DAP condemns killing of Kashmiri Pandit | | |

JAMMU, Oct 15: Democratic Azad Party (DAP) general secretary RS Chib has strongly condemned the killing of Puran Krishan Bhat, who was attacked near his residence in the Chowdhary Gund area of South Kashmir in Shopian, District. Chib said that, this is yet another, instance of target killing in which a Kashmiri Pandit was shot dead by terrorists in Shopian district, today. He on behalf of his party expressed his shock and anguish over this cowardly act by the terrorists and sympathies with the members of the bereaved family.
Chib also demanded that the Govt. should provide an adequate security cover to the members of the Minority Community in order to counter such attacks by the militants. He further added that the Govt. should also grant compensation to the next of kin as per the latest norms. |
