Teacher turns beast in Doda, pricks student hands, body with compass

Jammu, Oct 15. In a shocking incident of corporal punishment in Doda District, the teacher Kashif Qayoom Khurwani turn beast and press the hands and body of the students with compass as a result of which the hands and body of the students got swallowed.
As per the details available with “Early Times” the incident was reported from Government Middle School Hashkoti in Doda District wherein the teacher prick the students with compass after they fail to get good numbers in school test. The students was also threatened by the teacher and terrorise them not to report the matter to anyone.
The family members of the poor children after noticing swelling in the hands and pain in the body of their children, on inquiry the children narrated the horrific tale of event. Being the far flung area with no medical facilities available, the family members of these poor children use old age treatment by putting turmeric lap on the hands and body of the tortured students.
The family members also tried to report the matter to higher authorities, nothing was done by the senior officials of the education department. The teacher was allegedly tortured the students as he is said to be faded up the posting in this rural area of Doda District and wants his transfer in city area or the area close to city areas.
Kashif is said to be a law graduate and has been appointed as Teacher in Education Department under SRO-43 after the death of his father.
Despite repeated attempts, senior officials in Education Department could not be reach out for the comment.
