Another Kashmiri Pandit shot dead in Shopian orchard
10/15/2022 11:33:22 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 15: Although a proxy terror outfit namely the Kashmir Freedom Fighter (KFF) has claimed the gruesome killing of a Kashmiri Pandit in Shopian district, this heinous crime has once again brought to fore that the terror has no religion and terrorists are out to kill innocents.
Earlier on August 17 this year, terrorists shot dead a Kashmiri Pandit and injured his cousin in an apple orchard in Shopian district. On Saturday terrorists shot dead a Kashmiri Pandit Puran Krishan near his residence in the Chowdhary Gund area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district. The doctors declared Krishan brought dead after he was moved to Shopian hospital. “Terrorists fired upon a civilian (minority) Shri Puran Krishan Bhat while he was on way to the orchard in Chowdari Gund in Shopian. He was immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment where he succumbed. The area was cordoned off. Search in progress”, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar tweeted. Today’s killing was a repeat of the August 17 incident when the terrorists had fired upon two Kashmiri Pandit cousins in an apple orchard at the Chotipora area of the Shopian district.
In this terror crime incident, two civilians, identified as Pertimber Nath Bhat, son of Arjun Nath Bhat, and Sunil Kumar Bhat, son of Sri Ji Bhat, both residents of Chotigam Shopian, belonging to the minority community, received critical gunshot injuries.” Both the injured were immediately shifted to the hospital where one of the injured persons, Sunil Kumar Bhat, succumbed to his injuries.
