DFCO commorates World Food Day

Kishtwar, Oct 16: Today Food Safety, DFCO, Kishtwar commemorated the World Food Day with a theme *Healthy Diets for a Zero Hunger World. In fact, FSSAI launched several innovative initiatives to strengthen Food Safety Administration and Sacle up Eat Right India Movement. In order to epitomize the purpose District Kishtwar is entitled with Eat Right Challenge 2 and has various to benefits the Consumers and public in General. At the Onset of Eat Right challenge 2 in Kishtwar the Deptt. of Food Safety DFCO Kishtwar by the Commendable support of Commissionerate FDA J&K and under moral full support of District Administration Kishtwar, the kick started innovaltive activities like MFTV(Food Food Testing Van) on wheels did coverage to max. of the District, tested 225 Food Samples on the Spot and during this imparted awareness and training programes, drew 25 legal samples of category 18.1 Indian Sweets for analysis, lifted 50 @ 10 Surveillance Samples of various categories under Eat Right Challenge 2 and during this MFTV compaign the Deptt. did approach to pilgrimage Gullabgarh and Sarthal Mata, Celebertead World Food Safety Day on 7th June 2022 at TRC Kishtwar in Collab with District Administration Kishtwar including ICDS, MDM etc.tuned up for Eat Right Schools got 90% Schools registered under Eat Right Challenge 2,did practical implementation for BHOG at Sarthal Mata,and Urs Shah Sahb, conducted online Risk based inspections through Foscoris, Conducted morethan 12 ongoing Melas of online Licenece & Registrations. Essentially organised Eat Right Mela including promotion through Walkathon, Yoga with drone coverage,paragliding, Painting Competition and mega festival, more importantly, displayed pole kiosk at 20 locations for 10 days.
Besides,did carried out inspections of markets on Eve of festivities, under Eat Right Campus did inspect canteens like Kendra Vidalyaya Shallamar, Manjeet & L& T Projects participated in workshops for promotion, packaging labelling and domestic as well as export local produce like saffron, Walnut, Rajmash, Honey, Pickles, lavender, Zera,did put in holistic approach procurement of Millets, explored Food Fortification through ICDS, MDM, PDS, organised FoSTaC training to more than 161 Food Bussiness Operators at Kishtwar.
Overall, the Food Safety DFCO Kishtwar and its team lead byTaraq Ahmad Butt Assistant Commissioner Food Safety District Kishtwar is Committed to implement the theme Healthy Diets for Zero Hunger World under the able supervision & moral of District Administration Kishtwar.
