DDC finalises arrangements for B2V4 program in Rajouri

RAJOURI, Oct 16: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss and finalize the arrangements in connection with the B2V4 program commencing shortly in the district.
Officers present in the meeting were ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACD, Vijay Kumar; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; AD FCS&CA, Arief Lone and BDOs.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Government of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir will hold the fourth phase of Back to Village (B2V) Program shortly.
During the meeting, extensive discussions on measures required to be taken for the smooth and successful conduct of the program in Panchayats of the district and achieving objectives thereof were held during the meeting.
The meeting also discussed contents and activities to be undertaken as part of the program by different departments in the district.
Addressing the meeting, the DDC said that the focus of the program would be to energise panchayats, collect feedback on the delivery of Government schemes/programmes and capture specific economic potential.
He also said that the program will involve the people of the district and Government officials in a joint effort to deliver the mission of equitable development across all our rural areas, besides mobilizing public opinion on different issues at different levels.
While discussing various arrangements, he asked the concerned officers to work with dedication and in tandem for the smooth and successful conduct of the program across the district.
Meanwhile, the DDC also reviewed the physical and financial progress on the works taken up under B2V1, B2V2 and B2V3.
He asked the BDOs to ensure that the tenders for all the works are allotted within the shortest possible time.
The DDC also asked the concerned officers to speed up the progress and mobilize their men and machinery to ensure that all works are completed at the earliest.
