Jammu, Oct 16: Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu Commemorates Diwali Mela in the benign presence of Raghav Langer( IAS) -Secretary planning and monitoring JK UT Government
Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs, Jains and some Buddhists across the world. It is known as a festival of new beginnings and is generally associated with the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance. For some, Diwali coincides with harvest and New Year celebrations. People come together and celebrate this festival with gratitude, togetherness, kindness, and compassion.
Making this day more memorable a ECO FRIENDLY DIWALI MELA was organised in the School Campus of JAMMU SANSKRITI SCHOOL, JAMMU to enjoy the festive vibes. The intend behind this was not just to rejuvenate everyone but to provide a platform to students pertaining to life skills wherein they learnt the art of monitoring, socialising, analysing and multifarious life changing skills.
It is also an initiative taken by the school to provide our community a scaffold to exhibit their skills and small scale business for the productive output.
Inauguration of this Mela was done by MR RAGHAV LANGER (IAS) - Secretary planning and monitoring JK UT Government whose benign presence as a CHIEF GUEST made the day more memorable.
The Mela with all its fervour of merriments had all the jollities for students and their families and other invitees.
The mela with different shades of the festival of light hosted myriads stalls of food stuff ,artistic decor,and games showcasing variety of products for all. The special attraction of the mela was the crowd-engaging events like – various competitions for children and their parents.
The highlight of the day was the BUMPER PRIZE BONANZA which created a spirit of exuberance among all.
The Chief Guest congratulated the management and staff for such a tremendous work and aapreciated the efforts of the parents to be a part of such event.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms Rohini Aima- Principal Cum Vice- Chairperson conveyed her heartwarming gratitude to The Chief Guest, Parents, Children and faculty for their benignant presence. Also, she asserted that every festival comes with a message and we tried to promulgate message of ‘Go Green’ on this Diwali.
