ITI organizes placement drive

JAMMU, Oct 17: Govt. Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Jammu under Directorate of Skill Development Department organized an Placement Drive today where reputed company Anvil Pvt. Ltd offered campus placement for ITI Certificate holders of Electrician or similar trades. A total of 120 vacancies available in Jammu.
On the occasion, Karan Singh-Placement Incharg were ITI Jammu welcomed officials from Anvil Pvt Ltd. hailed them for giving such opportunity to the candidates.
He thanked Principal Secretary Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon for his focus on placements of ITI pass out trainees.
Skill Development Department is playing important role to provide basic and job oriented training in ITIs across the Jammu and Kashmir and also creating opportunities for youth who complete their training in their designed trade / streams, he said.
Placement Cell Incharge thanked Director Skill Development Department J&K-Sudershan Kumar and Joint Director, Skill Development Deptt. Jammu-Farooq Khan for guidance on regular basis.
He also thanked Rajendra Kumar - Principal (Sr. Scale)- ITI Jammu and Vice Principal Rajesh Banotra for their support in every Placement Drive organized at Govt. ITI Jammu.
Rajendra Kumar, Deputy Director/Principal (Sr. Scale) ITI stressed upon more such placement drives in coming months to increase the number of placements. He highlighted that already 150+ candidates placed in different companies in the year 2022 and more such placement drives will be organized in coming months.
Er. Rajesh Banotra, Vice Principal ITI Jammu appreciated the contribution of Placement Incharge and Placement Cell Team in making this event successful.
Er. Nazir Ahmed, Senior faculty member appreciated the efforts of the Placement Cell which is acting as a bridge between Passout trainees and Corporate thus providing more and more job opportunities to the trainees.
Representative of Anvil Pvt Ltd Sheraz Ahmed thanked Incharge Placement Cell and Placement team for organizing such successful event at such short notice and assured that more such placement drives will be orgainsed in Jammu ITI as well as in other ITIs of J&K.
