10/17/2022 10:12:25 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 17: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Monday castigated NC President Dr Farooq Abdullah for pointing fingers at BJP Government over the recent targeted killing in Valley.
The BJP stalwart leader spoke after the filling of nomination papers by the BJP candidates for the posts of Mayor and Deputy Mayor JMC.
Kavinder said that the statements given by the NC Patron against the knack of the security forces in the Valley are unacceptable and need to be condemned by one and all in one voice. He said that to re-establish the lost political ground in the Valley, the NC leader is indulging in such kind of mudslinging against the government and the security forces which will not be tolerated by the nationalists people of the country.
The senior BJP functionary said that the need of time is to expose NC and other opportunist political outfits, which for the sake of their own political mileage never mind to keep the image of the government of India at stake. He said that security forces are on job to eliminate the last man involved in the terror acts and the days are not far when the lasting peace would prevail in the UT of J&K.
Kavinder said, "It is strange that those who are responsible for the turmoil in J&K are today challenging the potency of the government of India. The governments run by NC, PDP and Congress were party to allow anti-nationals to rule the roost in the past and what BJP Government is doing today is to sanitize the UT by acting tough against the terror mongers", he said, adding that it will take some time to bail out J&K from the morass of terrorism and unrest.
The former Deputy Chief Minister also expressed confidence that the BJP candidates will emerge victorious in the poll for Mayor and deputy Mayor and also in the upcoming Assembly elections.
