Former Minister RS Chib addressing public meeting

Jammu, Oct 18: R S Chib, Former Minister and General Secretary, Democratic Azad Party (DAP), while addressing a public meeting at MARALIA (Miransahib) called upon the people to come forward and join Democratic Azad Party and strengthening the hands of Gh. Nabi Azad. He said that it is most unfortunate that the state of Jammu & Kashmir was downgraded to Union Territory from the full fledged state on 5th August 2022. Mr. Chib urged upon the GOI, that the J&K UT should be given the statehood and the Assembly elections should be held at the earliest. He further said that all political parties and even BJP and people in general are in favour of statehood. Mr. Chib said that the Govt. should provide guarantee for the land and job for the locals. He said the DAP will continue its struggle for getting the statehood and also security of land and services for the local population. He further said that in the absence of elections and without public representatives, the process of development is moving at snail speed and the people at large are suffering. The beaurocratic setup for a longer periods, cannot be the replacement of the democratic system. Mr. Chib said that it was a golden period, when the state was ruled by Jb. Ghulam Nabi Azad as Chief Minister. He compared that period with the period when the state was under the BJP and said that the people have not forgotten the historical decisions by taken G N Azad Govt. in respect of creation of new Districts, establishment of new medical colleges, creation of new road network, development of parks, both at JAMMU and SRINAGAR and creation of new job avenues, for the youth. A large number of leaders and workers, from the BJP, AAP and Congress Joined the Democratic Party and expressed their faith in the leadership of Jb. G N Azad. The prominent among those included, Panch Chander Prakash Distt. President AAP, Jammu South, N/Sarpanch RURA RAM of GAZIA, Sham Lal Thapa, Gen Secy. AAP, Smt. NEELAM Panch GAZIA, Panch Mohinder Lal, Advocate CHANDER BHAN, N/Sarpanch Hardev Singh, Rampal Ex-Panch Hardev Kumarv Ex-Panch, Raja Ram Ex-Panch, Ms. Sangeeta Bhagat N/Sarpanch, Surinder Kumar Ex N/Sarpanch, Rajeev Kumar and Sain Dass. Prominent among those who addressed the meeting included. Shri Badri Nath Sarpanch KOTLI-SHAH-DHAULA, Advocate Chander Bhan, Rampal, Mehta Nirmal Singh and Chander Parkash.
