KVK organizes live telecasting of PM Kisan Samman Sammelan

REASI, Oct 18: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi under the aegis of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of Jammu (SKUAST-J) organized the live telecasting programme of PM- Kisan Samman Sammelan-2022 and Agri-Startup Conclave here at KVK, Reasi campus. Large number of farmers including the farm women and rural youths of the area enthuastically attended and viewed the live telecast of the event.
The two day event was officially inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, Narender Modi at Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi. The programme was organised under the dynamic stewardship of Vice Chancellor of SKUAST-J, Prof. JP Sharma and able guidance of Director Extension (DE) of SKUAST-J, Prof. SK Gupta. Before the initiation of the programme, Sr. Scientist and Head of KVK, Reasi formally welcomed the participants and briefed the objectives of the programme. He urged the farmers to view the live telecasting of inauguration of Agri-Startup Conclave and PM- Kisan Samman Sammelan with full enthusiasm. He added that PM-KISAN is a revolutionary scheme which can transform the lives of small and marginal farmers. He stressed on natural farming to produce the quality food. While inaugurating the event, PM of India, Narinder Modi released Rs.16000 as 12th installment under PM-KISAN scheme. He also inaugurated 600 PM Kisan Samruddhi Kendras and One Nation, One Fertilizer. Agriculture Extension Officers from Deptt. of Agriculture, Reasi, Amit Gupta and Suman Charak spoke on various agricultural schemes undergoing in the district and urged the participants to avail the benefits of these schemes. Dr. Sanjay Kaushal, Dr. Suja Nabi Qureshi, Dr. Lobzang Stanzen, Dr. Arvinder Kumar and Preeti Chaudhary also spoke on the various agricultural innovations to uplift the socio-economic status of the farmers. During the programme an interactive session was also organized for the farmers during which various quarries were raised by the farmers which were answered satisfactorily by the experts. Farmers showed keenness and happiness in the programme and thanked the Govt. for the financial assistance. KVK also displayed different types of technologies and extension literature in the exhibition stall. They also visited the crop cafeteria, various units established at KVK and farm of KVK, Reasi and were highly impressed by observing the results of different technologies demonstrated by KVK. The programme was assisted by Jagdish Kumar, Manohar Lal, Sanjay Kumar and Mohd and concluded by Preeti Chaudhary with the formal vote of thanks.
