Pinegrove celebrates its annual function

JAMMU, Oct 19: Pinegrove School Subathu, Solan celebrated its Annual Function on 19 Oct'22, the grand show was an endearing effort of the management and staff which had put together the finest acts that the students had mastered during the academic year.
Earlier, the glittering function commenced with the Chief Guest Onkar Chand Sharma, Principal Secretary of Revenue, Technical Education and Tribal Development, Govt of HP, taking the salute of the march past by the school's NCC contingents of both Boys and Girls.
The impressive display by the School's Brass Band won the heart of the audience while the field dance transported the onlookers to the different regions of the Indian subcontinent and presented a glimpse of the diverse cultural richness of our country. The function displayed the skills of children in activities like gymnastics, floor exercises and horse-work performed in an artistic manner. The School's Jazz Band played memorable tunes and enthralled the audience with their soulful and peppy numbers.
Cultural items in the Gulab Auditorium was an ensemble of entertaining and thought-provoking performances by the students. A masterful rendition of Raag Bageshri was followed by the Annual Report wherein 8 students of Class XII unveiled the scholastic and co-scholastic achievements that the school was bestowed during the current academic session in an impressive manner. The main attraction of the cultural programme was the Hindi play Shaheed -A -Azam while the most riveting performance was 'Kathak Balle' Ardhanarishvara. Truly a show-stealer as the dancers captivated the audience with their striking postures, mesmerizing and hypnotic formations. The impeccable performance of the students was highly appreciated. The art and craft exhibition too brought forth innate skills and creative genius of students.
The Chief Guest for the occasion Onkar Chand Sharma, the Principal Secretary of Revenue, Technical Education and Tribal Development, Govt. of HP presided over the function and appreciated the continuous and untiring efforts of the management to provide world class infrastructure whilst ensuring all round development of the child and emphasized on the need of teachers and parents to work in tandem for bringing out the best in the child.
Also present were Special Guests Glenn Reaves, Senior Principal of Sallie B Howard School, North Carolina, USA, a sister school of Pinegrove School, Geri Dew, Member Board of Governors of Sallie B Howard, Robert Geiman, Member of the "Cultural Bridges" Exchange Program to the USA; and Sandeep Aggarwal, Assistant Director, Sallie B Howard School, too graced the occasion with their noble presence.
