Govt GLDM Degree College Hiranagar conducted "Mega Swachhata Drive"

HIRANAGAR, Oct 19: NSS Unit of Govt. GLDM Degree College Hiranagar in Collaboration with Municipal Committee conducted a "Mega Swachhata Drive" under cleaned India Campaign 2.0. This drive was organised under the able guidance of worthy Principal Dr. Pragaya Khanna. A total Number of 80 NSS Volunteers participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The Volunteers during the Mega Swachhata Drive collected 251.7 kg trash and plastic waste from the college campus and the road in front of the college. The collected waste handed over to Manju Bala Councilor Ward No. 2 Municipal Committee Hiranagar for its proper disposal. Councilor Mrs. Manju Bala who was the special invitee of the event addressed the volunteers to always participate these kind of social activities. She also gave the certificate of appreciation to NSS Unit of the College. Prof. Sujat Khan Cordinator IQAC also spoke on the event and appreciated the efforts taken by NSS unit. The whole event was organised and conducted under the supervision of Prof. Rakesh Sharma NSS Programme Officer. Other faculty who witnessed the occasion were Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Prof. Kiran Thapa and Dr. Chinky Sangral.
