Martial arts club shines in Taekwondo championship

Banihal, Oct 20: “MY YOUTH MY PRIDE phase 2” Taekwondo event of Jammu Kashmir Sports Council organized successfully at Banihal , Ramban in which Martial Arts club Banihal won overall 1st place .
Sohaib Masroor (President District Ramban Taekwondo Association) was chief guest while Yasir Ali ( General Secretary Ramban Taekwondo Association) , Mohd Iqbal Sohil and Nayeem Masroor ( Physical Teacher ) were special invitee .
Organising committee of JK Sports Council compromising Ajay Gupta ( Kabaddi Coach ) , Anil Gupta ( Yoga Coach ) , Arvind Satti ( Taekwondo instructor ,KIC Gool) examine the whole c’ship. The event was officialated by Arvind Satti and declared the results.
More than 30 Students of Martial Arts club Banihal participated actively in this c’ship , won medals and achieved overall 1st position .
Speaking on the occasion Sohaib Masroor gave the words of encouragement and guidance, stressing upon the need of sports activities to attract and aware the youth for the betterment of the society and Nation, as well.
He also lauded the efforts of sports Council for taking this initiative to develop the moral and ethical values among the youth through sports education at Banihal.
He said this kind gesture and all time support to promote games in the UT J&K.
He said Banihal is very happy by My Youth My Pride initiative of JK Sports Council and giving sports platform to our children here .
He appreciated the enthusiasm and fervor of participants and said our children have potential to perform at National level and only thing we need is sports platform and trainers .
He added that the dignities who grace the occasion time to time, should always made it a point to deliberate on ill effects of drugs and other social evil and ensure that youth never fall pray to such evils to not to be derail from the mainstream.
He motivated all participants and appeal others to participate in sports as well as education and now sports is also a career opportunity for all .
Besides a crowd of more than 200 (B&G) from the different Panchayts and schools participated in this event
