ADC reviews Winter Preparedness at Reasi

REASI, Oct 20: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Abdul Star today chaired a meeting of officers of different departments in Conference Hall DC Office Complex, to review the winter preparedness.
The ADC took a detailed zone wise review of winter preparedness including maintenance of National Highways/Link roads, drinking water and power supply scenario, snow clearance and overall winter arrangements in the district.
The PWD, PMGSY and BRO authorities were directed to ensure maintenance of roads besides quick clearance during snowfall in the district. He stressed that the roads leading to tourist destinations should be cleared on priority basis so that tourists may not face any inconvenience.
He also reviewed the power scenario in the district, while XEN PDD informed the meeting about the breakdown prone areas. He further informed that the necessary buffer stock has been maintained in the district for replacement of damaged transformers in the shortest possible time.
The ADC sought details of availability of food grains, LPG, medicines and other essential commodities in the districts.
The CMO was directed to keep adequate stocks of life saving medicines, surgical equipment and other necessary medicines to avoid deficiency in the districts, besides ensure adequate heating arrangements in health care institutions.
