Police Commemoration Day observed at DPL

REASI, Oct 21: National Police Day popularly known as Police Commemoration Day was observed today at Martyrs Memorial District Police Lines Reasi wherein the bravery of Martyrs was remembered for their sacrifices.
Rich tribute were paid to all the Martyrs of Police and Paramilitary force who made Supreme sacrifice in the line of duty for the unity and integrity of the nation in last one year.
Contingents of Police and Paramilitary forces participated in the Commemoration Day Parade at DPL Reasi in which, Ms. Babila Rakwal Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Amit Gupta SSP Reasi, Shiv Deep Singh CO IR 1st, Jameel Ahmed Principal STC Talwara Surjeet Bhagat ASP Reasi and Officers from Army and paramilitary forces paid rich tributes to the Martyrs.
Besides Officers and officials of District Police Reasi, a number of prominents of Reasi, social activists remained present & offered wreaths to the Martyrs Memorial while paying tributes to the Martyrs.
Amit Gupta Senior Superintendent of Police read the 'Roll of Honour' names of the Martyrs of Police and Paramilitary forces of the country. The names of Martyrs of the year were read by the officer and rich tributes were paid to them who sacrificed their today for our tomorrow.
Proud Family members of Police Martyrs of District Reasi participated in the function to remember the sacrifice of their family members for the integrity of the Nation. They were seen in pride & tears for the Martyrs while laying wreaths over heap of flowers offered before 'Roll of Honour' in the martyrs memorial.
After the formal Commemoration day Parade a token of love and affection in the form of gifts were handed over to the family members of Martyrs by the Officers.
Later on SSP Reasi alongwith team of officers interacted with each family of the Martyrs, listened to their grievances and issues, on spot directions were passed to redress the issues and also familiarized them about the schemes, which have been launched by the Government of India for the welfare of NoK's of Martyrs.
