Manhas says, water scarcity in Nagrota

JAMMU, Dec 18: Addressing several election meetings in Nagrota constituency today Balbir Singh Manhas contesting a an Independent candidate from the constituency said that it is a matter of great concern and shame that people are still drinking unsafe water of Bholis, Talabs and Nallahs. He said no attention has been paid towards this problem by the Governments and MLA’s elected. He said hand-pumps installed earlier are non-functional now as they have not been repaired.
He further said same in the case of road communication, health care and education system and as such people of the assembly segment are facing countless problems, though we achieved independence since last 60 years. He said there is o dearth of water, as three rivers pass through this area.
Manhas on the occasion cautioned the public desist from the hollow slogans of political parties who did nothing for the common masses of the constituency. He requested them that on the polling date vote en-mass in his favour and if elected new era of development will take place in the constituency.
