Naresh honoured with Navlekhan Tej Puraskar

JAMMU, Oct 22: Young writer Naresh Kumar Khajuria was awarded with Navlekhan Tej Puraskar- 2021 by Hindi Sahitya Mandal (HSM), Jammu (Regd.) today in a function organized by HSM at K L Saigal Hall, Cultural Academy Complex, Jammu. Dr. Arvinder Sngh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Literature was the chief guest on this occasion whereas well known Hindi short story writer Prof. Kiran Bakshi, former President of HSM-J & a retired Principal presided over the function. Dr. Chanchal Dogra, President HSM-J, Shekhar Gulati, a member of Tej Bhan Gulati family and Naresh Kumar Khajuria shared the dais. The award has been given to Naresh Kumar Khajuria for his collection of Hindi poetry, titled 'Pita Ke Khet'. A cash of Rs. Eleven thousand, Doshala, Shriphal and citation is given as award in the memory of Late (Sh.) Tej Bhan Gulati, with the support of his family.
Rakesh Abrol, General Secretary, HSM-J introduced the dignitaries and invited them on the dais. Dr. Chanchal Dogra, President, HSM-J extended formal welcome to all the intellectuals, writers and lovers of literature. He also gave a brief of the activities of HSM-J. Dr. Pawan Khajuria read out the introduction of Naresh Kumar Khajuria. Sanjiv Bhasin, Vice President, HSM-J read out the citation prepared for presentation to Naresh Khajuria.
A paper on the qualitative merits craft, creativity and life of Naresh Kumar Khajuria was presented by Maharaj Krishan Santoshi, a renowned Hindi writer.
This year, the award was declared on the basis of decision of majority vote of the nominated jury consisting of Kiran Bakshi, a prose writer, Dr. Adarsh and Shyam Judeja (both of them poets). According to the jury, the poetry of Naresh Khajuria has its own kind of phraseology.
