DPS Nagbani organises investiture ceremony

JAMMU, Oct 21: With a view to bestow upon its students the ability to be future leaders of tomorrow, Delhi Public School Nagbani, Jammu-(West) held its Investiture Ceremony here today in the school premises. SDM, Marh Rajeev Kumar Khajuria graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The other members including Bhawna Madaan- Headmistress DPS Nagbani, Coordinators Randhir Sharma, Dr. Isha Sharma, Khushboo Shaminotra, Sangeet Kour and Harshita Singh along with the entire staff and the students were present on the occasion. The Chirf Guest escorted by the school band was accorded a formal welcome.
The ceremony commenced with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest along with other dignities. The Principal of the school R. K. Verma presented welcome address and expressed his gratitude towards the Chief Guest for sparing his valuable time to bless the students of DPS Nagbani. It was followed by Saraswati Stuti, welcome Song and dance by the students during the Investiture Ceremony. The highlight of the event was oath taking ceremony in which the members of student Council marched confidently and smartly to the tune of school band. They all took the oath administered by the school Principal top uphold the motto of the school 'Service Before Self' in high esteem followed by conferring of badges and sashes by the Chief Guest. The new appointees pledged to discharge their responsibilities honestly, sincerely and to the best of their abilities, keeping their school flag high, displaying their dignity, integrity, discipline and true leadership in all their actions for the glory of the school.
Addressing the gathering and motivating the students, the chief guest Rajeev Kumar Khajuria said that schools inculcate discipline and responsibilities amongst students to lead. Leaders must transmit punctuality and discipline to other students to make everyone successful. He therefore urged all the students to do their best and help the administration in taking the school to greater heights. He also expressed confidence that students will do extremely well in their respective fields.
In the end, Principal, DPS Nagbani, RK Verma along with Headmistress presented mementos to the Chief Guest as a token of love and appreciation on behalf of the students and staff of the school. Vote of thanks was presented by the school Headmistress, Bhawna Madaan.
M.K Ajathshatru singh - Chairman and Kuwrani Ritu Singh- Trustee and S.S. Sodhi, Director of the school conveyed their best wishes to all the newly appointed leaders and wished them good luck for their bright future.
