Speed up progress, achieve targets within shortest possible time: DDC to officers
DDC reviews progress under PMAY-G; 19493 houses completed in all respects so far

RAJOURI, Oct 25: The District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana in the district.
Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; Assistant Commissioner Development, Vijay Kumar and District Panchayat Officer, Chander Kant Bhagat attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the DDC sought a detailed from the concerned officers regarding the progress achieved in different blocks under PMAY-G who in turn briefed about the same.
While reviewing the progress under PMAY-G, the meeting was informed that against the target of 30313 houses, the work on as many as 19493 houses is complete in all respects so far.
Seeking the status of installments, it was also informed that the first installment has been credited into the accounts of 29573 beneficiaries, second installment to 25342 beneficiaries, third installment to 20025 beneficiaries and fourth installment has been credited to accounts of 9710 beneficiaries. Addressing the officers in the meeting, the DDC asked the concerned officers to work in a mission mode and speed up the progress and achieve targets within the shortest possible time.
He also asked the concerned officers to ensure that quality material is used for the construction and also the targets are achieved within the shortest possible time. The DDC also directed the concerned officers to ensure the timely payment of the works to the beneficiaries so that the people don’t suffer.
