| Cong, NC, PDP leaders misuse Govt helicopters: Rehman | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 18: The state president of Samajwadi party (SP) Sheikh Abdul Rehman has leveled serious charges against the state government of providing facilities to the leaders of National Conference, Congress and PDP which included using of Government helicopters freely. Addressing media persons here today Rehman said one fails to understand why such concession is being given to these parties. He said, Farooq Abdulla, his son Umar, Mufti Syeed his daughter Mehbooba, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Saif-ud-Din, Jugal Kishore Sharma, B.R Kundal and R.S Chib are frequently using helicopter but no such facilities are given to leaders of other party, though on cash. He on the occasion, appeal both state and centre government also. Election commission of India to held an enquiry in this regard and take strict action against those involved in violating the electoral code of conduct. He said it seems election in the state are not free and fair. To boost the moral of party candidates SP Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav along with Amar Singh are addressing election rallies at R.S Pura and Vijaypr on December 21, 2008. In the light of above, it appears that both the Central Government and Election Commissioner of India are not sincere and serious in conducting free, fair and transparent elections in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, which, if not checked, shall have its far reaching effects.
