B2V4: Visiting officers conduct activities in Poonch

POONCH, Oct 29: A host of activities were organised under the supervision of visiting Officers across 82 Panchayats of District Poonch on the Day – 2 of Back to Village Fourth phase. Deputy Commissioner, Inder Jeet visited several panchayats including Salotri, Jhulaas and others. He interacted with the visiting officers and members of panchayats.
Locals projected different issues of public importance and the DC assured time bound redress of the projected issues. The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the PHC Jhulaas where he interacted with the public and directed health authorities to maintain cleanliness and provide free medicine to the public available in the Hospital.
Meanwhile, the visiting officers held meetings with the Panchayat representatives and explained to them about the objective and purpose of the ambitious "Back to Village" initiative.
They also took an overview of the issues and problems faced by people of the Panchayat.
Family care kits, baby Kits, sports kits, Land Pass Book etc. were distributed by visiting officers in different panchayats.
Inspection of under construction PMAY houses, schools, Awasplus Houses, Anganwadi centres, Health centres was conducted during the daylong programme.
Mahila Sabhas, Bal Sabhas, Cultural programmes, sports events, plantation drives, Awareness camps on Aap Ki Zameen Apki Nigrani, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, etc were also conducted in different Panchayats.
The visiting officers laid the foundation stone of Anganwadi building at Panchayat Shahpur and inaugurated Rural Haat in Panchayat Galipindi.
Several PMAY houses were also inaugurated by the visiting officers in different Panchayats.
