Juniors bid farewell to seniors at GLDM Degree College Hiranagar

Hiranagar, Oct 30: Students of 4th Semester bid farewell to 6th Semester students at Govt GLDM Degree College Hiranagar on Saturday.
Ritika Trehan, Owner Looks Saloon, Ritz Manor Hotel Channi and BJP Mahila Morcha J&K Spokesperson Ritika Trehan graced the occasion as the Chief Guest .
The farewell program was organised under the patronage of Dr Pragya Khanna, Principal of the College. Dr. Davinder Kour , Dean Students Welfare and the Member Secretary of IQAC, presented the formal welcome address and coordinated the program.
Jury members Dr Davinder Kour ,Prof Arun Kumar, Dr Jyoti Rani, Dr Sukhdeep Singh ,Dr Chinky Sangral and Prof Ritika adjudged the performances of the students during the event.
Ramandeep was adjudged Mr. Farewell among the boys and Priya as Miss Farewell among the girls.
Prominent among those who were part of the event included Prof Neha Bhagat and all the faculty members.
Junior students presented various performances during the farewell event.
The juniors created an ambiance of enjoyment and music for the seniors to enjoy their last memories in the college.
Further, the event was made memorable with the flashback memories that were shared by some seniors in the speech.
Speaking on the occasion, Ritika wished outgoing students bright future ahead said that a good student can do nothing without a good teacher, and a teacher feels bad luck when they do not get a good student.
“It is the teacher’s responsibility that they have to bring a student on the right track.
However, it is also the responsibility of a student to follow their teacher’s orders to be in the right way. They need to support each other in school equally.”
She emphasized that students should always be very disciplined, well-mannered, punctual, and responsive.
