DC reviews status of Routine Immunization in Doda District

DODA, Oct 31: To take the appraisal of the health department activities and to review the status of Routine Immunization in the District, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan today convened a meeting here in the DC Office Complex.
The meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer, Dr MY Mir; Dy CMO, Dr Om Kumar; District Immunization Officer, Dr Versha Sharma, Block Medical Officers (All) and other Block Level staff associated with the Immunization process.
At the outset of the meeting, the DC took a detailed review of the latest status of the Routine Immunization and achievements thereof, category wise vaccination in the District and block level as well.
The CMO gave a detailed presentation on the component wise achievements of Routine Immunization, while Dy CMO and DIO also briefed the chair about the block wise status and action taken by the department to cover all the school dropout children of different age groups.
The Deputy Commissioner enjoined upon the CMO and all the concerned to work in close coordination to make the Routine Immunization programme successful in the District. He asked to put in extra measures to ensure that no children in the district were left out in the process of routine immunization.
The DC directed the stakeholders and those present in the meeting to conduct special immunization sessions in the left out areas to cover all drop out children in a time bound manner. He set a one month time duration to complete the task in the District.
"Delivery of quality healthcare to the last mile has been accorded top priority and the health department in the district has to ensure that anybody in need of medical services is catered to in time" he added.
