Pledge for honesty and integrity by Jammu Municipal Corporation

JAMMU, Oct 31: As a mark of respect on birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the architect of National Integration of Independent India, Jammu Municipal Corporation celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) and Anticorruption week today. In this regard, a Pledge taking ceremony organized in the premises of Jammu Municipal Corporation.
The pledge was taken by officers/officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation, headed by Mayor Rajinder Sharma. He highlighted the role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel for unification of India and added that we should put our every possible effort for fulfilling his dream which he seen for national integration and unification and it is duty of every citizen to come forward and take pledge for the unity of whole India. Mayor JMC also stressed for corruption free environment in the Corporation as well as other field of developmental activities. He said we believe that all stakeholders such as Govt. citizens and private sector need to work together to eradicate corruption. We acknowledge our responsibility to lead by examples. He further said that honest & dedicated officers would be rewarded and any or more officer divulging from in pledge of honesty & integrity shall be put to task and immediate action shall follow. He further said that it is need of the hour to work together in proper co-ordination for yielding fruitful results. Others present on the occasion were Worthy Commissioner, JMC Rahul Yadav (IAS), Joint Commissioner, JMC Rimpy Ohri (JKAS) and all sectional heads of Jammu Municipal Corporation. Chairman of the Swacch Bharat Committee M.S Mankotia and Chairman of Social Justice Committee Ajay Gupta also participated in the pledge ceremony.
