Amit mentors Smailpur Panchayat towards quality working during B2V4 Visit

Smailpur, Samba, Oct 31: Amit Sharma, Secretary to Government, Mining Department conducted an extensive two-day touring and meetings in Smailpur Panchayat falling under Bari Brahmana Block of Samba district under ongoing Back to Village - IV Programme across the Union Territory of J&K. At the outset, Sarpanch of the Panchayat Balwant Singh Manhas and his team welcomed the visiting officer and apprised him about the ongoing development works in this progressive Smailpur Panchayat.
During this visit, Amit Sharma held multiple meetings in Panchayat Ghar which were attended by officials of all the line departments and he shared the broader vision of LG Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary Dr Arun K Mehta including provisioning of a list of 25 volunteers for self-employment and equal number for skill development. Secretary Mining was later joined by Anuradha Gupta, DC Samba, Sidharath Dhiman ACD Samba, Joginder Jasrotia DPO Samba, Suraj Singh BDO Bari Brahmana and BDC Bari Brahmana Chairperson Rajni Devi and DDC Member Suraiya Begum during the series of core committee meetings held at Panchayat Bhawan.
Major impetus of the Secretary Mining Amit Sharma during multiple Meetings held with public and Gram Sabhas was to create mass awareness against fall-outs of drug addiction, become whistle blowers to eradicate this menace, make society corruption-free, online availability of more than 200 services and primary role of CSC in provisioning same and self-initiative to become a model panchayat of Samba district. He also created awareness towards drinking clean and safe water and got a demo organised by PHE Department for same. He mentioned that Youth Club, Mahila Club, Senior Citizens Club and Pani Samiti should meet on a regular basis as mandated to each Panchayat for same.
Amit Sharma also inaugurated a major road work leading to the Matador Stand of village which was lying pending since long due to some local disputes and this initiative was largely hailed by the entire public of Smailpur.
Apart from this, Amit also toured Amrit Sarovar which is a natural pond located adjacent to a famous local deity temple. During the two-day event in Smailpur Panchayat, Secretary Mining paid visit at lot of Government Institutions including schools, health centres, anganwadi centres, sports stadium and development work sites and he also noted various issues for resolution in same. He also met young players of the Panchayat during a sports event organised with Police support in the Panchayat. he also distributed kits to young kids, sports equipment, agriculture seeds, etc amongst the public and visited different departmental stalls of Smailpur Village Hatt.
Apart from this, Amit Sharma addressed lot of local issues of the public of Panchayat after giving a patient hearing to them respectively and he did spot redressal of same by connecting to respective Head of the Departments for resolving them. Before leaving, Amit assured them that as per the recent decision of Government, he shall continue to mentor Smailpur Panchayat throughout the year and address all legitimate issues so that this Panchayat can figure amongst one of the best panchayats of the Union Territory in coming days.
