Hindi Sahitya Mandal, Jammu honoured Hindi writers

JAMMU, Nov 1: Hindi Sahitya Mandal (HSM), Jammu honoured six Hindi writers/ the former Presidents of HSM, with the Azadi Ka Amrit Hindi Sewa Samman- 2022 in a function organized at KL Saigal Hall, Writers' Club, Cultural Academy, Jammu on 31st October, 2022. Dr. R D Sharma, former Vice- Chancellor, University of Jammu presided over the function whereas Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages was the chief guest on this occasion. Dr. Chanchal Dogra, President, Hindi Sahitya Mandal, Jammu shared the dais. A large number of intellectuals, writers and lovers of literature attended the function.
The guests were introduced and invited on the dais by Sh. Rakesh Abrol, General Secretary, HSM,J. Shamendra Kumar, Senior Vice- President, HSM extended formal welcome to the dignitaries, awardees and the audience. The award winners were invited on the stage and their introduction- cum- citations were read out by Dr. Pawan Khajuria and Sanjiv Bhasin, Vice- Presidents, and Uma Sharma, Literary Secretary, HSMJ. The award winners were presented with the citation Doshala, Shreephal and a memento each. Those who were awarded with the Azadi Ka Amrit Hindi Sewa Samman- 2022 included Dr. Priyatam Chander Shastri, Dr. Virender Gupt, Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Prof. Kiran Bakshi, Dr. Raj Kumar, and Brij Mohan. After receiving the awards the award winners expressed their views on their journey with HSM,J.
Expressing his views on this occasion Dr. RD Sharma appreciated the endeavours undertaken by Hindi Sahitya Mandal to promote Hindi language & literature. He appreciated the role played by one & all for plating a positive role in this regard. Sr. Arvinder Singh Amn and Dr. Chanchal Dogra also expressed their views durin the function.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Uma Sharma, Literary Secretary and vote of thanks was extended by Anil Azad, Member of the Executive Committee.
