Mandeep Kaur reviews implementation of RDD schemes in Rajouri

RAJOURI, Nov 1: Commissioner Secretary, Rural Development Department (RDD) and Panchayati Raj, Mandeep Kaur, today visited Rajouri and had a comprehensive review meeting on implementation of RDD schemes in the district.
Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal; Director RDD, Jammu, Mohammad Mumtaz Ali; ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ACD, Vijay Kumar and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
Taking stock of progress under District Capex budget, Commissioner Secretary was informed that 3789 works were approved under the Budget for the Financial Year 2022-23, of which, tenders for have been allotted 2059 works and work on maximum projects have been started.
Commissioner Secretary, while reviewing progress under PMAY-G, was informed that against the target of 30601 houses, work on about 19529 houses has been completed in all respects, so far.
Under Awas Plus, it was apprised that against the target of constructing 10850 houses, work on 371 has been completed.
Commissioner Secretary asked the DDC and ACD to prepare a permanent waiting list including all eligible beneficiaries in it with removal of the ineligible candidates so that the benefits can be provided to the genuine beneficiaries.
Seeking progress regarding person days generation, it was apprised that 298782 man-days have been generated as on date.
Commissioner Secretary also had a detailed review of works done under B2V3 and was informed that out of 1018 works, about 760 works have been completed. She directed the ACD to update the list of works completed by different departments under all phases of Back to Village programme.
Discussing progress under SBM-G, she was informed that against the target of constructing 1047 IHHL units, the work on 3220 IHHL units has been completed.
Regarding Amrit Sarovars, she was informed that against the target of constructing 154 Amrit Sarovars, the work on 101 has been completed. She asked the officers for according special focus on beautification of the completed Amrit Sarovars.
While reviewing progress under Soakage pits, Commissioner Secretary asked the concerned officers to complete the targets at the earliest. She also stressed upon effective management of grey and black water in rural areas.
Regarding construction of panchayat ghars in the panchayats where these have not been established yet, she asked the BDOs to identify suitable land and get it transferred in favour of the department at the earliest. She assured for release of adequate funds for construction of the panchayat ghars.
Addressing the officers during the meeting, Commissioner Secretary stressed upon them to work in coordination for better implementation of the schemes on ground.
While taking note of non-serious approach by some contractors, she asked the concerned officers to take stern action against them and ensure that government work should not suffer on this account.
She also directed for removing bottlenecks, if any, in execution of development projects for timely completion.
